Lilo

Disney's Lilo. She was a really fun character to draw (from reference) - interesting stylisation and proportions.

Flynn Rider

Found some awesome model sheets of Flynn Rider from Tangled, which was a perfect illustration of the anatomy of a stylized character. Probably the best animation reference I've found; wish I could get my hands on this kind of reference for a whole lot more characters! I'll keep searching.

Dipper Pines

So after drawing Mabel Pines I gave Dipper a go as well. Also from some model sheets I found on the web.

Mickey Mouse

Found some great model sheets of Mickey Mouse and couldn't resist.

Like the drawings from Gravity Falls it took a few tries to get into the right style and proportions but I think towards the end I was getting pretty decent. I'm particularly happy with the pose on the very right, second from the bottom.

Mabel Pines

I've started watching Gravity Falls (and I'm loving it!) and came across some model sheets of Mabel & Dipper Pines. I gave drawing Mabel a shot first, and I'm pretty happy with the results (it took a couple of drawings to warm into the style - the top right was my first)

More Ariel...

I watched The Little Mermaid again recently and wanted to try my hand at drawing Ariel again. I think I'm getting more consistent at matching her facial proportions. Practice practice practice!!

Rapunzel

More expressions from Disney expression sheets... this time Rapunzel. I'm happy with a larger percentage of them than my previous ones, so I guess I'm getting slightly better at drawing with this style. Woo progress!

Mother Gothell

Facial expressions of Mother Gothell from Disney's "Tangled", from an expression sheet found on the web. Not so happy with these, except for the middle left one. Still need a lot of practice with eye placement, especially with tilted heads.

Aladdin & Ariel

Aladdin

Wanted to practice drawing Disney characters to get a good sense of how they're constructed, and also because they capture great expressions without a whole lot of detail. Found some expressions sheets online of Aladdin and Ariel and copied them as best I could. Some I'm happy with, most I'm not. Still good practice.
